The definition of Writer's block from Google is this:
Writer's block is a condition, primarily associated with writing, in which an author is unable to produce new work or experiences a creative slowdown. This creative stall is not a result of commitment problems or the lack of writing skills.
As an author, I know what this feels to go through such a problem. This is how I deal with it. You may try this if you wish but if this does not help that is perfectly okay. We are all different. Every author must deal with it their own way. You can't blame yourself if this does not help. This blog is not made by professionals either. I'm just a simple girl. This blog is just my way to keep up with my progress and to help others the best I can. Again, I am NOT a professional.
What you want to do is to write all your current ideas down in a notebook. That way when you have new ideas you can study your old ones in case they may or may not work. This helps prevent even more stress. With new ideas you can add or replace old ones.
It is also a good idea to try writing another book on the side. This way you can focus on something else instead of stress. Yes, this advice is the most common used but I like to remind others.
If your writing feels more like work than fun or a passion then you need to take it easy. Make time for yourself even. Writer's Block may be also caused due to too much writing and stressing over writing the next chapter to whatever you may be writing. So taking time for yourself is a good idea.
Another thing you can do is ask a friend or family member about said book. Tell them the plot, ask them what you should add or change. Feedback is great. It is okay to ask for help.
This next idea is almost like the first one. You should write everything down and sleep on it. That way your mind and body can rest.
